Preventing blindness
Your cornea is too thin and yet, despite your feeling that you are losing your eye sight, currently available tonometers always read your pressure as a low pressure. It sounds like you have normal tension glaucoma.
Actually, these false measurements are due to the fact that applanation tonometers can not adequately take a measurement of your eye pressure if your cornea is thin.
Your eye pressure will also remain low if you have had refractive surgery. Standard tonometers such as Goldman or other applanation tonometers are just not adequate to measure your pressure.
If you understand the risks of transmission of nosocomial infections (caught by being contaminated at health care sites) of corneal trauma and the risks of allergies pertaining to the use of contact tonometers,
THEN YOU’LL AGREE THE MOMENT HAS COME FOR A NEW GLAUCOMA DIAGNOSING TECHNOLOGY
